Senior High Adventures

Get away from things this summer and enjoy new friends and experiences. Get serious about your life and your faith. Senior High Camps are designed to challenge, stimulate and encourage you. All trips are led by two experienced staff who will assist you to grow in your faith and your abilities. Sign up early as these camps fill up quickly.

CALGARY SERVANT

 

This trip is a weeklong service opportunity in Canada. Camp staff will travel with you to Calgary, Alberta, "The Volunteer City" and together you will lend a hand at a variety of service opportunities. We will also experience the sights and sounds of the "Calgary Stampede." Join us for this incredible experience in serving those in need.

CLIMB AND BIKE

 

Combine two of your favorite outdoor activities in this adventure. You and your counselors will enjoy 2 days of rock climbing at Stonehill near Lake Koocanusa and 2 days of mountain biking the trails above the lake. We’ll provide most equipment, bring your mountain bike.

SH Climb & Bike

CLIMB & KAYAK

 

Come and experience two great outdoor adventures! This trip is an introductory experience for rock climbers and kayakers. Spend two days climbing at Stonehill near Lake Koocanusa and two days kayaking on the Lake. All equipment will be provided.

KOOCANUSA KAYAK ADVENTURE

 

This is your chance to experience sea kayaking on beautiful Lake Koocanusa. Your specially trained counselors will assist you in learning to paddle to campsites around this remote lake. Enjoy making lasting friendships, growing in your faith and soaking up the sun on this trip

BOUNDARY WATERS CANOE TRIP

 

Travel to Northern Minnesota and enjoy the hospitality of our sister camp, Voyagers Lutheran Camp as they help guide our group through Boundary Waters National Park. We will explore this amazing wilderness, camping on islands at night and paddling the waters by day. This is sure to be an incredible, fun, and relaxing trip.

NORTH FORK RAFT

 

This trip is for you if you like the water! With experienced counselors, your small group will paddle their rafts on the North Fork of the Flathead River. You will begin at the Canadian Border and travel four days through the beautiful wilderness bordering Glacier National Park.

OBC: Onsite Base Camp

 

Establish your base camp at two tent cabins at the end of Hughes Bay and go on adventure day trips including, sailing, hiking, kayaking, high ropes, and more. Enjoy this smaller community as you cook meals over the fire, swim in Flathead Lake and watch the Passion Play.

ROCK & RAFT

 

This is a rock climbing course with a day of rafting added. The week is designed for the beginning to intermediate climber. All equipment, including climbing shoes, will be provided. Meet at FLBC and then travel to Stonehill, a climbing area on the Koocanusa River. Camp counselors will lead the group and the course will be taught by an experienced climbing instructor.

Rock and Raft

SAILING ADVENTURE

 

One of our most popular programs! Learn how to sail one of our 25-foot sailboats on Flathead Lake. Camp under the stars and visit islands on the Lake. You will also challenge yourself whitewater rafting on the Flathead River and on our high ropes course.

SEATTLE SERVANT

 

Make a difference. This once-in-a- lifetime opportunity will let you meet and help people in need. The Lutheran Compass Center in downtown Seattle serves over 300 homeless people a day and will serve as your home for the week. From here you will go out to work, serve and help homeless people. Camp staff will travel with you to Seattle and serve alongside you in this new experience.

Have you ever thought about being on staff at FLBC someday? If you have, join us for this week of leadership training, fun, and excitement. Upon completing this week, you can apply to come back for another week this summer to be an assistant counselor!

  Backpack & Raft
 

Your week begins with 4 days of backpacking in pristine mountain wilderness. After leaving the forest and returing to camp for a warm shower and delicious meal, you will jump right back into the adventure with a day of rfafting class 3 and 4 rapids on the Lower Flathead River. A wonderful trip for building new frienships and experiencing new adventures.
